My Journey as a DJ: Music, Madness, and Memories

Number one: I am a professional disc jockey. Have been since March 1998. That’s longer than some of the entertainers I’ve worked with have been alive, which is a sobering thought best drowned in whiskey. I’ve played music for over 500 female adult entertainers, ranging in age from 18 to “old enough to remember when MTV played music.” Did I ask their exact ages? Hell no. Did I ask about height, weight, or ethnicity? Absolutely not. I know my goddamn place.

Metro Detroit has been my stomping ground for most of my life, except for those first five formative years in Battle Creek—home of cereal and, presumably, my infant existential crises. I graduated high school in 1991 with no dreams, no ambition, and no clue where I was headed. But look at me now: standing in a DJ booth at a strip club, making magic happen one bass drop at a time.

I am committed—nay, obsessed—with delivering top-tier entertainment experiences. My clients? The clubs. The entertainers. The patrons. The patrons of the entertainers. The whole swirling, neon-lit ecosystem that keeps the night alive. I don’t just play music; I control the vibe, the energy, the heartbeat of the room. You may not know my name, but if you’ve ever had a night so wild it melted your brain, there’s a nonzero chance I was behind the booth, pressing buttons like a wizard summoning chaos.

Welcome to my world.
